The Logger's Mist

The Logger's Mist is a hexcrawl adventure for Best Left Buried, a fantasy horror roleplaying game by Soulmuppet Publishing. 
Within the grim hexes of taiga and permafrost, the Cryptdiggers will explore the Orson Woods: a stretch of forest that surrounds the logging commune of Dormire. Communication has been cut with the commune. Something has, once again, awoken in the most miserable duchy of Dupont.

A fog has set in across the land; the logging commune lies trapped in the taiga. Thick mist, scuttling monsters and devout Druids kidnap and kill those who venture to the woodland's edge. Sawmills and Aquedcuts lie abandoned, rich with trade material and treasure. Flooding and melting have dredged up forgotten artefacts from the permafrost.

An ancient dreamer is awakening, stirring in their sleep and influencing the world around them. Madness and fear blossoms.

This Adventure Contains:

-Five major crypts: The Tangle, Deadland Forest, Abandoned Aqueduct, Dormire Sawmill and Cleft Forest. From a fog-strewn mire to a half-flooded valley rich with ancient relics, each crypt contains unique theming, mechanics and monsters.

 -18 unique monsters native to the Orson Woods from stalking Driftwood to giant Snapping Eels, each with a unique adaptation that ties into their theming and abilities. 

-A doom counter that progresses as players explore the woodland, tracking the awakening of a dreaming ancient.
